LSM Courses
In Malta there are currently three routes to Maltese Sign Language courses:
- The Directorate for Lifelong Learning offer Maltese Sign Language levels 1 and 2 as evening courses at a number of locations across Malta.
- The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) offer Maltese Sign Language level 1 and 2 as short courses.
- The University of Malta’s Institute of Linguistics also offers some Maltese Sign Language and Sign Linguistics courses to university students through the department’s Maltese Sign Language Project

Life Long Learning
The Maltese Sign Language Course offered at Life Long Learning is the most popular LSM course in Malta. The course is free to participate and is a year long. The lessons are held once a week and will be during the evening.
Applications open during the summer months, as the course starts in September / October. If you would like to be informed when applications open, please send us an e-mail with your contact details.
MCAST
MCAST also offer a part-time LSM course against payment. This course only opens if enough students enroll. We suggest that you contact the school directly if you wish to attend their course.
Postgraduate Diploma in Maltese Sign Language Interpreting
The University of Malta offers courses for Maltese Sign Language Interpreters (Postgraduate Diploma in Maltese Sign Language Interpreting). This course isn’t offered every year. It was last opened in March 2018.
